Saguaro Song I-Pad Case
The arrival of Summer, in Southern Arizona, is heralded by the explosion of Blossoms and fruit on the Giant Saguaros. In late June, the Tohono O’Odham people have a Saguaro Harvest celebration. They use the fruit to make Saguaro wine for the Nawait I’i (Rain Ceremony) that occurs during the monsoon season. These blossoms were a pleasant surprise on the Loma Alta Trail in the Rincon Mountains, as they were on the lowest arm of a Giant Saguaro which allowed me to shoot at a better angle.
